- Diarrhea Planet -     "In no particular order". Titus Andronicus - Local Business      (XL Recordings)    . No Regrets Coyote - Bokkus Is Dead    (Spaghetti Spaghetti Studios) . Taylor Swift - Red (Big Machine Records). Title Fight - Floral Green (SideOneDummy Records). BIGKids - Never Grow Up(BIGkids Recordings/G.O.O.D)

1.- SAM COFFEY & THE IRON LUNGS - Shin No Skin
(Slop Bop / Hosehead)

"This record gave me a breath of fresh air and pushed me to finally start a record label. Sam Coffey and the Iron Lungs needs to be bigger than Jesus already! He writes some of the best songs I've heard in a long ass time and has a huge range of styles."

2.- THE AUDACITY - Mellow Cruisers
(Burger Records)
"I've known these boys since we were all about 14 years old. They've always been some of the most ambitious fun people to be around. This record doesn't have the dirt that the first record did but it was a smart move in a new direction on they're part. I can listen to this on repeat all day and not get sick of it."

3.- KING TUFF - S/T
(Sub Pop)

"It's a great fucking record, PERIOD."
Es un disco jodidamente bueno. Y PUNTO.

4.- MEAN JEANS - On Mars
(Dirtnap Records)

The kings of all party punks did it yet again with On Mars! This record took me a few listens to adjust to just because I listened to Are you Serious? so religiously for a while. Ultimately, this record is the perfect follow up.

5.- NATURAL CHILD - For the Love of The Game
(Burger Records)

"Southern sounds that won't let you down!"
Sonidos sureños que no te defraudarán!

  1. NEEDLES//PINS:
We spoke about Needles//Pins in august, introducing their record 12:34, released in may by Mammoth Cave Recording Co. This power trio from Vancouver, Canada, creates amazing tunes combining punk, power-pop and garage lo-fi, taking influences from Buzzcocks, Ramones or The Nerves.

    NIGHTMARE BOYZZZ
Nightmare Boyzzz are a four-piece old-school punk band from Alabama, making good pop melodies and a higly infectious garage-surf.
This year they released a great split with Younger Siblings, first in cassette and a few months ago in ultra limited 7 inch in Fat Sandwich Records.

    THE AUDACITY
Authors of what we believe one of the best punk records of the year, Mellow Cruisers, The Audacity are four guys from Fullerton, CA, making it huge on the american garage scene.
But it’s not only raw punk, they happen to have some of the best compositions we have heard in ages!

    GAP DREAM
Gap Dream was one of the first to appear in this blog, due to the publication of his homonym album in vinyl, released by Burger Records.
Ohio-based Gabriel Fulvimar, the man behind Gap Dream, has given us one of the biggest surprises of the year, a complex yet captiviting album.

    LA SECTE DU FUTUR
We discover them openning for Jacuzzi Boys last august in París, there their perfect combination of garage, psych and synthetic atmosphears made us fall in love instantly.
This year, they released their debut album in Eighteen Records.

MAGIC JAKE & THE POWER CRYSTALS
Magic Jake & The Power Crystals are without a doubt the american super-band of this year.
Members of The GO, The Detroit Cobras, Magic Shop, The Readies, Electric Fire Babies, Isles of ESP, Conspiracy of Owls and Hi-Speed Dubbing gave birth to the precious creature that is this four-piece from Detroit.
In their first LP they mix the most classic garage-rock with glam, blues or punk, having a hell of awesome guitars.
As they say about them, "there are no slow songs".

    POP ZEUS
Mikey Hodges, aka Pop Zeus, turn out to be one of our beloved acts. From Brooklyn came the 10 hits of his debut, 10 magical pop hymns, absolutely terrific. Power-pop love at first sight.

    DIARRHEA PLANET
Despite not having any new material, that Loose Jewels from 2011 still bang our headphones.
Children of the Nashville scene, Diarrhea Planet still are an actual reference with a true Ramones touch.

There’s nothing we can say about Cum Stain that it’s not been preached in this blog or our facebook. We adore him, PERIOD.
But, this week, we had the pleasure to discover in an independent record label fair, that the original pic above is uncensored in the 7inch. Which we can’t complain.
Sir Sean is a modern geniuos, a poet, there’s the proof.
